Principal's welcome

Welcome to the Caroline Chisholm School website. This website captures the essence of our school culture and physical surroundings; it also outlines the key learning areas we address.

Our school is a happy, vibrant place where student social and emotional development, learning and a positive school culture is valued. We, as a school community, commit to and celebrate learning in a secure and positive school context. A dedicated, enthusiastic and talented staff work in partnership with students, parents, carers, therapists and the school community to achieve positive learning outcomes for all students.

Our professional and collegial teachers, supported by a team of School Learning Support Officers and administration staff, are committed to continually improving their teaching practice and using their expertise to create balanced and challenging learning programs tailored to the needs of each student. A wide variety of in-school and community-based programs enhance student learning.

Our facilities are set on an attractive and spacious site. Students have access to playgrounds containing purpose-built equipment, a bike track, sensory garden, outdoor pool, sensory room and state of the art classrooms, including a brand new library. Our grounds are secure and provide spaces for learning in both natural and built environments.

Our school year is full of major highlights, special events which we value and celebrate together as a school community. But along with these, as a school, our staff and our students celebrate small highlights every day - something they feel they have done well, a new thing they have learned, something they feel they have improved at - and these highlights are celebrated with classmates, teachers and families.

I hope you find the Caroline Chisholm School website informative, interesting and that it provides you with details that give you a greater understanding of our school community, educational targets and management priorities; ensuring students have the best possible opportunities for learning.
