Snack Shack is a fantastic student-led program run every Tuesday by our Secondary students and staff. Open to all students from Kindergarten to Year 12, the program offers a range of affordable lunch items, typically priced between 50c and $2.
Using our purpose-built cooking room, Secondary students prepare and serve the food with care, gaining hands-on experience in a real kitchen environment. Students can also use visual communication aids (such as Boardmaker visuals) to place their orders, making the program inclusive and accessible for all.
Snack Shack not only provides delicious lunches but also supports the development of essential life skills—including communication, social interaction, money handling, and safe food preparation—in a fun, practical, and engaging environment.
